One of the most anticipated collaborations of the year continues in the hype, revealing, in a strategic way, each of the creations that Off-White has made for the most well-known sports company at the global level: Nike.
Just a couple of days ago, the Off-White x Nike Air Presto was released in a black-full color range and, just this week, the pure white version arrived to dethrone the first-born model released in advance. The Air Presto in white, regardless of its versatility, thanks to its color, is crowned as the favorite for its contemporary details well applied in the same design: the Nike logo is trapped in a transparent plastic net, words in quotes, labels and orange badges and belts and details in red.
This athletic and aesthetic renewal patented by the Creative Director of Off-White, Virgil Abloh, also considers the functionality and comfort of the same design, creating strategic adjustments that would allow a better performance inside the shoe. On the outside, the model was balanced with technology and textile innovation, using a popular material in the medical industry such as spacer mesh; very different from the neoprene that, due to its anatomy, does not allow it to breathe or expand like this novel fabric.
This iconic Nike model – Air Presto – was launched in the year 2000 in the framework of the Sydney Olympics, Australia and, after almost 20 years, come with a strong aesthetic evolution thanks to the vision of Virgil; a man who knows, to perfection, the visual as well as the functional needs of a current consumer.
Undoubtedly, this pair between creative houses, offer us the new object of desire of the season worthy of a collection, of course.
