En el primer domingo del año se celebraron con antelación los Critics Choice Awards 2026, un evento que, ciertamente marcará el rumbo de la temporada de premios bajo la increíble conducción de Chelsea Handler.

Entre las sorpresas de la noche, One Battle After Another se alzó como mejor película. Asimismo, ganó otras dos categorías importantes: mejor director y mejor guión adaptado.

Tras una feroz gira de prensa, Timothée Chalamet se coronó como Mejor Actor por su ambiciosa interpretación en Marty Supreme. “Caramba, estoy más nervioso de lo que pensaba”, confesó, antes de cerrar su discurso con un emotivo homenaje a su novia, Kylie Jenner. “Gracias a mi pareja de tres años. Gracias por nuestra fundación. Te amo. No podría hacer esto sin ti. Gracias de corazón”.

Adolescence, la historia de una investigación por asesinato narrada en un solo plano, también arrasó al llevarse cuatro premios, incluida la estatuilla a Mejor Miniserie. The Pitt fue nombrada Mejor Serie Dramática, y sus protagonistas, Noah Wyle y Katherine LaNasa, recibieron merecidos honores. Por su parte, KPop Demon Hunters se consagró como Mejor Película Animada y también obtuvo el premio a Mejor Canción gracias a su éxito viral que encabezó las listas: “Golden”.
